Caleb's Cradle

Well, I've been thinking about how much I want my new little boy to be close to me. So, yesterday I went out and found this amazing cradle! Aaron put it together and we ordered some bedding and it's going to be just perfect. :)

Now I can lay in bed at night and be close to Caleb and even touch his cradle and make it rock if he's a little fussy.

We went in to the Doctor this morning. And long story made short ... he's breech, so we will be trying to turn him tomorrow morning and if that doesn't work we will have a C-section.

Not fun. But in someways exciting because hopefully the next blog posting you see from us will have some cute pictures or exciting info about our baby boy. :)

No Baby Yet

No Baby Yet. :)

I think he's too comfy in my tummy with my new stay at home and relax routine. But, he's got to be getting squished. Last Wednesday the Dr. said he thought Caleb would already be 7 1/2 - 8 pounds. So, hopefully they'll at least tell me they think I am close to going into labor tomorrow when we go in.

If not I might need to do some early spring cleaning on our garage. Lol. Don't worry, I'll be careful if I do. :)

Snowing Again

Well, I wondered when the second downfall of Idaho snow would hit us. -And yesterday and today seem to be the beginning of another bunch of snow.

Which is OK, since that means Aaron gets to play with the snow blower a little bit more. :)

Caleb seems to be doing well. He hasn't been moving as much, so I have to bug him every so often to get his "kick count" in. But other than that he seems fine. -Oh, and I have been getting the occasional pains, etc. which hopefully mean we'll get to go to the Doctor sometime soon.

Being a first time Mom, it's kind of hard to tell what's going on. For example, imagine asking yourself: was that a contraction or was that sharp pain because I moved wrong or am way too big. Many questions. Time will hopefully reveal the answers. :)

10 Days Remaining

Well, we are officially getting very close to Caleb's due date! Aaron keeps talking to my tummy and telling Caleb to come NOW!

We had a Doctor's appointment today and everything seemed to be going well. Not many contractions yet, though so it may still be a few days. Time will tell. :)

Anyhow, the bags are packed. The laundry is done. The car seat is in the car. So whenever this little boy is ready ... he'll be here.

He just gave me a big kick so I suppose he wanted to say hi.

If all of our blog fans want to guess his arrival date just leave a comment.

Baby Shower

Last night my friend Wendy threw me a baby shower!

It was so much fun. She had made announcements, took care of games and had some really great treats. -My favorite was a light cake with blueberries and cream cheese frosting. :)

Also, I was so pleased at how many of my friends were able to make it. I feel truly blessed to have so many good people who love me and this baby.

-I forgot to grab my camera and get pictures during the party. (The battery was charging.) But, I was able to get a snap shot of Caleb's gifts afterwards.

He got lots of really great clothes, bath stuff, blankets, etc. -He's pretty spoiled already. But, in a good way. I hadn't been able to pick up some of the stuff I needed and so the gifts really helped out. -I feel pretty ready to bring him home now. :)

No Sleep

Well, I have been told that the "no sleep" phenomenon of pregnancy is to prepare me for when Caleb will wake up through out the night. And although I see the logic in all of this I don't understand why I have to wake up every 2 hours because my hands are hurting, or to use the bathroom, get a drink, walk around, etc.
In fact, I hate going to bed. Poor Aaron reminds me that he has to go to work and can't stay up for another mid-night match of Rummikub or Monopoly. That chatting is preventing him from sleeping and why, oh why do I need another back rub just when he's dozing off.
To be quiet honest, I hope to sleep a lot better once Caleb is born. -Laugh if you must, I know I will still be getting up every 2 hours. I understand that his constant need for me to take care of him will be physically draining. I just hope my hands won't hurt.

Less Than a Month!

Caleb's due date is Feb 1st. So, I am happy to announce that he should be here in less than a month! We are getting very excited. -Scared too, but still very excited.

We have enjoyed our Christmas and New Years holidays and look forward to 2 more days of lazy bliss before Aaron has to go back to work. :)

Some of the fun things we have done include sleeping in, watching lots of movies and Stargate episodes, working on a puzzle, snacking and playing games. -I told you we were being lazy. :)

Tomorrow I hope to do a couple batches of laundry and sweep the entry ways. But other than that we will probably enjoy another quiet day before our normal routine resumes. :)
