The Pigeon finds a Baby

We are huge fans of the Pigeon books by Mo Williams. This toy Pigeon is the main character. So, it is only fitting that it is the first toy that Caleb has shown interest in. :)

When we set it in front of him he will stare at it for the longest time. He also enjoys eating it and feeling its soft fabric on his cheek.

Other updates are that Caleb will soon reach the 10 lb. mark. Hopefully his pattern of gaining almost a pound a week won't last his entire life. :)

I joke with Aaron that Caleb is like the Dalmatian puppy on 101 Dalmatians that is always hungry. "I'm hungry mother, honest I am."

Sleeping Beauty

Yesterday I took this picture of our very nice sleeping baby. He was so peaceful and was in such a good mood. -He even enjoyed his bath. :) -I was suprised at just how much I was able to get done in the morning.

However, last night and this morning were a very different story. I don't know where my handsome prince went, but Caleb has been cross and very much so awake.

I know when the day has been long when I finally get to shower at 5 pm. Lol. :)

Just had to Say...

So, I just had to say that I have the best husband ever. Aaron has helped so much with Caleb. He's done extra chores, camped out in a hospital recliner for 3 nights, is working hard so I don't have to go back to work, etc. etc.

I don't know how to explain just how much I love him, but I really do. He's my best friend. :)

2-Weeks-Old

We went to the Doctor today for Caleb's 2-week-old check-up. He's doing pretty good and weighs 8 lbs. 14 1/2 ounces now. He definitely is growing up fast.

Aaron and I are tired, but doing well. We enjoy sneaking off to watch TV once in a while when Caleb is sleeping. :) We hope to eventually establish a more predictable schedule, but for now life is crazy and good all at the same time.

Caleb's Fan Club

We were told that we need more pictures posted on our blog.

-Caleb already has a loyal following of people who love him very much. 10 days old and he already has his own fan club. :)

Grandma got him his giraffe, and of course we had to capture the infamous comforting hand. A lot of times he will wake up and wiggle in his crib and cradle --gobbling his hands and playing. -It's also a sign that he's getting hungry. We love our little duck.

Our Little Valentine Baby

Here's a shot of our little Valentine. His sleeper says "Kiss Me" on it and has a frog on his shirt and also on the bottom of both feet. Caleb's Daddy took this picture, which captures the comforting habit Caleb has of having his hand next to his cheek when sleeping.

One Week Birthday Picture

Here is our little boy during his one-week to the minute Birthday picture. :) He is a very good baby and Grandma is having a fun time holding and loving him today.

6 Days Old

Our little boy is 6 days old and growing like a weed. He weighs 7 lbs. 15 ounces today!

He loves to look at his Daddy and get snuggled by Mom. :) Especially when he wants food.

Caleb's Homecoming

Well we finally got to bring the little guy home. Everyone is glad to be home.
