Quick Update

Caleb is taking a nap so I thought I would fill all of you blog fans in on the latest. -He's not crawling yet, but is sure working on figuring it out. He likes to put his head on the ground and lift his bum in the air while standing on his toes. It's pretty cute. -He also is discovering that doors and cabinets open and close and that whatever Mom and Dad are eating has got to be good. Pots and Pans are a new favorite ... along with cords, fans and garbage cans. We have to keep an eye on him to make sure that what he is finding is ok to have.

Bad Bloggers

So, I realize that I haven't blogged in a long time now, but hopefully this post will help. You see we want to blog, but run out of time. :)

Talented Feet

This picture captures Caleb puckering his lips and blowing. We think he may be trying to make an O, V or P sound. He does it all the time --first thing in the morning or after a nap and even in the middle of the night. Of course he may just be blowing me kisses. :)

Also, we finally caught Caleb using his feet to reach an object in this video. He still loves to grab his feet, pull off his socks and occasionally tries to eat them. :)

Hummm

Caleb is going to make his own unique method for crawling. We can name it the Rainbow/Crab walk. :) Aaron and I started laughing so hard that we had to stop the video. He had been tipping over the basket, kicking it, rolling to his tummy, etc. before we ran and got the camera.

The Mobile

Look at my handsome boys. Caleb would be smiling more if he would actually take a nap today, but he's afraid he will miss something. I've laid him in his bed for quiet time twice and he just plays with his blanket, etc. When we try to snuggle for nap time he just screams -- very notty trick he's learned these past few days. :(

On a more positive note: Caleb loved Janice's wiggling video with the mobile music in the background. So, we are hoping to return the favor. Cousins are sure fun. Hope the two rascals get to meet someday.

Curtains

Nappy Nap Time

Caleb was a good boy and slept through the night last night. He was funny and kept rolling to sleep on his side. :) In the morning I found him laying the opposite direction under his mobile and when he woke up from his nap I found the following behavior. Enjoy. :)

ps: Hope you noticed the missing sock. It was slobbered really good. :)

Forever

On Sunday Aaron, Caleb and I were running late for church. There was only 20 minutes left of our first class, but I am so glad that I decided to go in anyway. They had a quote from General Conference on the chalk board: "We [might] see ourselves in terms of yesterday and today. Our Heavenly Father sees us in terms of forever ..." -Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin.

I read it over and over and have been thinking about it ever since. It really is beautiful. -Sometimes I think about all the things I have done wrong in my life, or feel bad about how little I seem to get done each day. And I forget about how I have a Heavenly Father who loves me, a Saviour who Atoned for my sins, a loving husband and beautiful little boy. I forget to have an eternal perspective.

-I am so glad I had the opportunity to remember. :)

New Experiances

This week has been an eventful one for Caleb. He's had his first stroller ride, first high chair experience, first thoughts of crawling, first juices, first baby wagon wheel cookies, first interest in balls and rolling objects, etc. It seems like he decided to be a big boy over night. I am grateful that he still likes to snuggle, although he does try to touch my face all the time now. -We hold hands so he won't be as wiggly. :)
