Look What We Found

Lately when Caleb wakes up he's been cooing and practicing making different sounds. In addition, yesterday he was pulling himself up to see the dishwasher, dryer and couch. -So this morning when we heard him talking we didn't worry about getting up too quickly to get him. When he decided we should come we found our little boy standing up watching for us. Needless to say we will be lowering his crib again and sadly the mobile finally has to go. :( -Our little boy is growing up. :)

The Funniest Faces

Lately Caleb has been making the funniest faces. I took 2 pictures of Caleb and his Dad, but decided to post the funny face one to show his latest trick.

Also, this week he's been practicing whistling and making an "S" sound.

-On an unrelated note we are very excited to be getting some blinds for our windows! We are hoping they will help keep the heat in and the cold out and I am super excited about the added privacy. Plus the fact that we found some for an amazing deal helped out a lot too (70% off, and then another 20% off of the rest)! Can't beat that. :)

On the Move

Last night per request of Grandma S we got some crawling videos for the blog. Now it took all night and multiple attempts to post these ... so hopefully they will be enjoyed. Love you guys.

Our Busy Morning

8 Months Old

I love this outfit Caleb has on! His shirt says "Mommy's little Monster." So true, today he played with the dishwasher, the pantry and a bag of garbage (don't worry we took that one away pretty quickly). :)

Cookie Monster

Caleb is getting to be a great little eater. He likes crackers, toast and is curious about whatever we are eating. We share when we can and that only adds to his curiosity. -He still hasn't gotten any teeth, but loves to gum his food to death. :) -He weighed in at 18 lbs. 12 ounces last Monday (about when this picture was taken) and is 8 months old today!

Caldwell

On our way home from Oregon we seemed to stop a lot more. I think that Caleb had finally figured out that we were going to just keep driving, and driving, and driving. So, we added an extra 2-3 hours on to our trip. Luckily we discovered this old rose garden in Caldwell when we stopped at a local park. It was a beautiful and pleasantly unexpected treat. :)

Oregon

I realize that I haven't blogged in ages, but don't worry we've been taking pictures! At the end of August we got the opportunity to visit Caleb's Grandparents in Oregon. Here are a few pictures of some of the fun things Caleb did while we were there.

Quick Update

Caleb is taking a nap so I thought I would fill all of you blog fans in on the latest. -He's not crawling yet, but is sure working on figuring it out. He likes to put his head on the ground and lift his bum in the air while standing on his toes. It's pretty cute. -He also is discovering that doors and cabinets open and close and that whatever Mom and Dad are eating has got to be good. Pots and Pans are a new favorite ... along with cords, fans and garbage cans. We have to keep an eye on him to make sure that what he is finding is ok to have.
