2 Months Old
Baby Caleb is 2 Months old (8 weeks and 3 days). He continues to grow and learn. Aaron likes to play Head-Shoulders-Knees and Toes with him. One of my favorite things -- is to see him learning how to grin and smile. It makes some of the hard moments seem easier. Especially since Caleb is starting to recognize Aaron and I as his parents. It's nice to have him look for us in a room. And even cuter when he smiles at us and looks up with his big eyes.

When The Relatives Came
This weekend we had the opportunity to have a lot of our family here for Caleb's baby blessing. He got to meet his Grandparents and get held and spoiled by Aunts, Uncles and Friends!
Unfortunately, when it came time for pictures he decided to be a real BEAR. Oh well, we snapped a few cute photos of him once he had calmed down. :)
Grandpa, Grandma, Caleb, Aaron and I and Uncle Logan.
Too Funny, Caleb and his Daddy. :)
Caleb and his FAVORITE Uncle.
Snuggling with that Singing-Glasses-Grandma.

"C" is for Cookie
Hey everyone guess what?
That's right, it's Girl Scout cookie time of year!
Last year I gave away our last box of Thin Mints to a friend and got in big trouble. You see I didn't realize that you could only buy Girl Scout cookies in February-March. :(
So, all year we have been waiting for this opportunity. Aaron got 3 boxes from a little girl's Dad at his work. And since we've already eaten those we were on a mad hunt for more. -With no cookie stands in sight we were pretty concerned, so we stopped by the local Girl Scout headquarters and got a whole case of Thin Mints and a couple boxes of Samoas. Ummm, ummm, yummy!
So, the moral of this post is very simple if you haven't found your Girl Scout cookie stand yet ... you'd better do so soon because some cookie monsters are buying up all the cookies.
"C" is for Cookie, that's good enough for me.
"O" is for Cookie, that's good enough for me.
COOKIE, COOKIE, COOKIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A Baby Shower in a Bag
Ring, ring, ring.
Anyway, it was Caleb's Aunt Laurel (his Grandpa's sister from Alberta) she was in the area and was hoping to be able to stop by at noon. I was so glad I had showered and got dressed already because Caleb decided to only take one 15 minute cat-nap before she and her husband came. :)
When they got here they had this HUGE gift bag with presents from Caleb's Aunts and Uncles in Canada. I guess they have this tradition of a Baby Shower in a Box/Bag. Since we live so far away they brought a Baby Shower to us.
Caleb is so spoiled, but we are definitely grateful for such a thoughtful family.
ps: We picked up a baby carrier today. It's kind of like a bag pack you can wear to carry your baby in front of you. We figured since our little boy likes to be held so much in the day time that maybe this might help his Mom have two hands a little more often.
-But on the positive side we read that babies that are well attended to in the first 6 months are less needy, and also more emotionally secure later on in life. So, I guess we will enjoy holding our little boy while he is small (we are guessing that he's close to the 11 lb. mark now).
-The picture above was taken today. Aaron has been holding him and letting him sleep by him all day. It's funny because Caleb sleeps really well at night time. I think he just wants to be near us. :)

Trix are for Kids
Aaron went grocery shopping this weekend and I was so excited to discover a box of Trix cereal this morning! Guess it just confirms I am still a kid.
